Major Recall: Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ

In March 2023, Ford recalled approximately 1.28 million vehicles, including 2013–2018 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, because their front brake hoses could rupture and leak brake fluid, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the front brake hoses free of charge.

Additional Recalls: F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator

In April 2025, Ford recalled over 148,000 vehicles, including 2017–2018 Ford F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator models, due to a fluid leak that may diminish braking performance and increase stopping distance. Affected vehicles will have faulty parts such as the master cylinder or brake booster replaced free of charge.

F-150 Parking Brake Issue

Ford also recalled approximately 870,000 F-150 pickups from the 2021–2023 model years because the electronic parking brake could activate while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash. The issue stems from a rear wiring bundle that can chafe and cause a short circuit.

What Owners Should Do

Ford is notifying affected owners and will provide repairs free of charge. Vehicle owners can check if their vehicle is affected by visiting the NHTSA recall website or contacting their local Ford or Lincoln dealership.
